So, how do we find the "silver lining" after having the week from hell?
That's a tough question to answer, indeed.
I recently experienced an onslaught of shizz hitting the proverbial fan in my real life. I caught Covid from my "husband" and suffered with that for four straight days before I could get out of bed or...live.
It felt wretched ten ways from Sunday, but I digress, I am here writing this post, and for that, I am eternally grateful. That is perhaps the best silver lining, I'd say.
To live another day, to write another day, to dream another day. To love, and forgive, and understand. To grow in grace. To extend mercy when we get the chance.
To add icing on that shizz cake, our home internet went out about the same time I got sick with Covid...and it's been out for the last week. It rained all week, causing the local rivers to rise and basically made everything gloomy gloom on top of feeling sickly sick.
All of this, just as I was building this website and working on publishing my first epic adventure novel, Pug. Talk about obstacles. Right. But also...a reason to work harder and believe harder and do more to make what I work for and believe in a reality.
We can find a "golden lining" in any situation, too. Perhaps, it's all in how we see the storm?
